Reconfigure & Restart
NOTE
The Reconfigure & Restart action is available for the ADPG, Balancer, Chrony, and Etcd services.
|
The Reconfigure & Restart action updates service configuration files with the configuration settings specified on the service Primary configuration tab and restarts the service. To open this tab, go to the Clusters page, click an ADPG cluster, and switch to the Services tab. Click a service name to open Primary configuration tab. Configuration settings are described in the following article: Configuration parameters.
If you make changes directly to the postgresql.conf, pg_hba.conf or chrony.conf file, these changes will be lost.
This action performed on the ADPG service also reconfigures the monitoring services.
To run the action, go to the Clusters page, click an ADPG cluster, and switch to the Services tab. Click in the Actions column and select the action from the drop-down list that appears.
When you choose an action, ADCM displays a dialog window to confirm the choice. In this dialog window, you can select the Verbose checkbox to see additional execution details on the Jobs page.
When the action is executed for the ADPG service, you can enable the Service user password reset option. This option allows you to regenerate passwords for adpg_replicator
and adpg_rewind
system Patroni users. It can be useful if you need to update passwords for security reasons, for example, in case of password leaks.
For the ADPG service, you can also activate the Show advanced toggle button to display the Force reconfigure and restart checkbox that disables validation of the configuration settings before restarting ADPG. The Force reconfigure and restart option should only be used when the ADPG service is stopped and cannot be started due to misconfiguration.
