Reconfigure & Restart

NOTE
The Reconfigure & Restart action is available for the ADPG, Chrony, and Etcd services.

The Reconfigure & Restart action updates service configuration files with the configuration settings specified on the service Configuration page and restarts the service. To open this page, go to the CLUSTERS tab, click the ADPG cluster, and select Services in the left-side menu. Click a service (ADPG or Chrony) and select Configuration in the left-side menu. Configuration settings are described in the following article: Configuration parameters. If you make changes directly to the postgresql.conf, pg_hba.conf or chrony.conf file, these changes will be lost.

This action performed on the ADPG service also reconfigures the monitoring services.

To run the action, go to the CLUSTERS tab, click the ADPG cluster, and select Services in the left-side menu. Click green arrow in the Actions column and select the action from the drop-down list that appears.

When the action is executed for the ADPG service, the dialog window contains the Advanced checkbox. Activate this checkbox to display the Force reconfigure and restart checkbox that forces reconfiguration of postgresql.conf without validation. The Force reconfigure and restart option should only be used when the ADPG service is stopped and cannot be started due to misconfiguration.
